What we are looking for
We're seeking a Systems Engineer to join a modernisation project, delivering cyber-hardened, integrated mission systems.
This is your opportunity to work on critical defence capability projects supporting platforms with cutting-edge ICT systems and infrastructure.

- Manage Defence Engineering processes and ensure approvals are secured ahead of planned deployments
- Identify engineering risks, issues and opportunities for allocated platforms
- Provide strategic and professional engineering advice to project stakeholders
- Establish engineering control processes and prepare cost analyses on contractor surveys and quotes
Essential:
- Bachelor of Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification
- Demonstrated experience working in Defence as a Systems Engineer, managing technical project delivery
- Platform knowledge and experience via Delivery Groups
- Experience with Defence Engineering processes
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Process-oriented with excellent attention to detail
- Current NV1 security clearance (or ability to obtain before commencement)
- Experience in a Defence Environment
- Knowledge of Defence Capability Lifecycle Projects
- Military/APS/Contractor experience with platform SPOs and ISSCs
- Previous experience working with modernisation projects
- Willingness to travel interstate semi-regularly and board platforms during maintenance periods
- Ability to comply with US International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR)
- DSN access required
- White Card and PPE compliance for site visits
