Our client is a sustainability-focused team on a mission to build net-zero cities — partnering with governments and organisations to measure, understand, and reduce their carbon footprint. Every piece of work they do contributes to a more sustainable world.
We're recruiting on their behalf for a Support Specialist to be the steady hand behind their client experience. Someone who takes as much pride in a well-resolved support ticket as they do in a better future for the earth.
Remote (Brisbane, Australia)
The Role
You'll be the cornerstone of their client operations — handling support with care and managing data with precision. Day to day, that looks like:
- Owning the support queue and resolving client queries independently, with minimal escalation
- Managing data services with sharp attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality
- Writing responses that make complex concepts feel accessible and leave clients feeling supported
- Building documentation that becomes a lasting resource for the whole team
- Spotting workflow inefficiencies and fixing them — using tools like Zendesk, Intercom, and Zapier
- Tracking support metrics and surfacing insights that keep them improving
You're autonomous and methodical — you solve problems, follow through, and know when to ask for help. You write with clarity and warmth. You're detail-obsessed in the best way, and you don't just fix issues, you fix the conditions that caused them. You thrive in a remote environment and stay connected without needing to be managed.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a similar technical support or data management role
- A strong track record of resolving complex issues independently
- Familiarity with ticketing platforms — Zendesk experience is a plus
- Solid data management and quality assurance skills
- Excellent written communication — concise, professional, genuinely helpful
- Must be based in Queensland Australia with full working rights
- A curiosity for sustainability, carbon accounting, or environmental reporting is a bonus — but not essential
You'll be doing meaningful work — real work that contributes to cleaner, smarter, more sustainable cities. They're a small, remote-first team where your contributions are visible and your efficiency improvements affect everyone. There's also potential for this role to become permanent after the cover period.
They're an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusivity in all its forms.
