A global technology organisation delivering building automation and digital surveillance platforms is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to join a high-performing product engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and enhance modern, scalable software solutions deployed across global markets.
You will work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to high-quality web-based products built using contemporary engineering practices and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver software enhancements across the full SDLC for enterprise-grade building technology products
- Build high-quality, maintainable, and scalable web-based applications using modern frontend technologies
- Work within an Agile development environment, contributing to sprint planning, delivery, and automated testing
- Collaborate closely with engineering, UX, testing, quality, and product teams to deliver optimal solutions
- Investigate, reproduce, and resolve software defects to support customer and business needs
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality systems, and delivery processes
- Support release activities and continuous improvement initiatives across the product lifecycle
What You’ll Need
- Strong commercial experience delivering modern web-based software solutions
- Hands-on experience with frontend technologies, including: HTML5, CSS, Sass, JavaScript, TypeScript, React
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Context, or Zustand
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Experience with containerisation technologies, ideally Docker
- Strong understanding of scalable, performant, and maintainable software design
- Experience working in Agile teams with automated unit and integration testing
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and globally distributed teams
Bonus Skills
- Backend development experience using .NET or C++
- Experience building and consuming web services (REST, WCF, gRPC)
- Experience hosting services in on-premise and cloud environments
- Exposure to large-scale, globally deployed enterprise systems
