We're looking for a motivated Service Design Officer to join a specialist team delivering high-quality network and telecommunication services that support education, research, and innovation across Australia.
This role is perfect for someone with excellent problem-solving skills, a logical mindset, and a keen interest in fibre networks, service design, and infrastructure projects. You'll collaborate with highly skilled engineers and technicians, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful national projects.
 
What you'll be doing:

• Planning and delivering new fibre optic and telecommunication services
• Maintaining network records, data systems, and service documentation
• Producing project handover packs, reports, and technical documentation
• Supporting change management and restoration activities
• Using tools like Network Inventory Systems, MS Office, Visio, Jira, and Confluence to get the job done

• Strong logical and numerical reasoning skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident working independently and in a team
• Experience or interest in telecommunications/networking(welcome but not essential)
