Top end Mid Level/SENIOR .NET ENGINEER - 12-MONTH CONTRACT (most likely extended)

Melbourne Based (2-3 days per week in office)
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take a defined design and to turn it into code, applying appropriate technologies and current software engineering best practice. You write secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code with minimal defects. You will participate in team design, scoping, and prioritisation discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality software using C# and .NET Core.
- Deliver reliable, scalable solutions across microservice and event-driven architectures.
- Drive automation, DevOps self-service, and AWS operational excellence.
- Lead technical design and implementation within cross-functional delivery teams.
- Mentor and support engineers, championing engineering principles and continuous improvement.
- 8+ years as a Senior Software Engineer in a complex, high-availability environment.
- Strong expertise in C# and .NET Core.
- Solid experience with AWS (VPC, EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, RDS, etc.).
- Familiarity with microservices & Kafka
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, Docker, and automated testing frameworks (e.g. NUnit).
- Agile mindset, ownership mentality, and passion for technical excellence.
