Our NSW Government desk supports both Federal and State departments, delivering permanent and contract placements across a range of technical roles.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Recruitment Consultant to take ownership of our existing Government desk in NSW. The successful candidate will manage and grow relationships with key clients, manage and grow the existing contractors, drive recruitment strategy, and deliver high-quality permanent and contract hires in the technology space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the NSW Government desk, covering both federal and state departments.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for permanent and contract technology roles, from sourcing to offer and acceptance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their hiring needs and organisational requirements.
- Deliver workforce and augmentation solutions, including:
- T&M (Time & Materials) & SoW (Statement of Work) resourcing solutions
- Payroll as a Service models
- Source and manage ICT AGSVA security-cleared resources across Baseline, NV1, NV2, and TSPV levels.
- Execute recruitment solutions compliant with NSW Government SCM0007 Contingent Workforce and SCM0020 ICT Services panels.
- Access and manage Defence and Federal Government Digital Marketplace engagements.
- Lead ICT recruitment for both permanent and contract roles, including executive-level placements.
- Guide workforce and augmentation solutions tailored to client needs.
- Mentor and support our delivery team where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with all government-specific recruitment policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and provide timely reporting on desk performance.
- Proven experience as a recruiter, within government ICT departments.
- Ability to manage the existing contractor workforce and meet all contractors and manage their extensions.
- Strong understanding of the Federal and State Government recruitment landscape in NSW.
- Be able to demonstrate your ability to meet with talent teams and line management to build relationships and win work.
- Passed performance in being the point of contact for departments and talent teams.
- Ability to work with Delivery teams, training individuals to source the right talent for the relevant positions quickly.
- Experience with NSW Government SCM0007 Contingent Workforce and SCM0020 ICT Services panels, and the process and people associated with these panels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of a high-performing desk.
- Strong commercial acumen and track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
