Important bits:
Location: Melbourne CBD (3 office days per week - Non-negotiable)
Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 base + Super (Depending on experience)
Eligibility: Must have Full Working Rights (AU PR/Citizen)
Key Criteria:
- Strong experience working in Java (ideally 17&21 but 8 is fine too) + Springboot and experience with AWS or Azure.
- While ReactJS experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory
- An interest or prior experience working with AI tools (such as Cursor and/or Windsurf)
- Experience working in an AGILE/SCRUM team.
- Expertise across Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, and database queries.
- API Gateways
- We are looking for Engineers with a mindset of always wanting to explore and not just take orders but happy to question things, suggest better ways of working, have a voice in the team!
- Contribute to the advancement of our clients' new robust platform supporting numerous clients across Aus!
- Engage in the development of scalable Java 17 and 21/Spring Boot services within a modern cloud-native framework
- Lots of budget to work with cool and upcoming tools (particularly with AI)
- Influence engineering standards related to performance, security, and DevOps
- Collaborate with a team that prioritizes continuous learning, accountability, and technical expertise
