Location: Melbourne CBD (Hybrid)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary:$150K-$180K + Super (Negotiable for exceptional candidates)

About the Role
Seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead Azure-based infrastructure design, delivery, and optimisation within a large enterprise environment (4000+ users). This is a hands-on technical role focused on modernisation, automation, and mentoring within a well-established internal team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable Azure infrastructure solutions
  • Lead cloud and infrastructure transformation projects
  • Drive automation, performance, cost optimisation, and resilience
  • Provide technical leadership across Azure, identity, networking, security
  • Mentor junior engineers and uplift team capability
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, and operations teams
  • Ensure documentation, governance, and change practices are followed
What You'll Bring
  • 8+ years in senior infrastructure/cloud roles within complex enterprise environments
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
    • Virtual Machines, Networking, Site Recovery, Cost Management
    • Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access
    • PowerShell, Automation, Infrastructure as Code
    • Disaster Recovery, Monitoring, and Security controls
  • Azure Solution Architect certification (required)
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring skills
  • Proven track record of delivering modern, resilient infrastructure solutions
Desirable: Azure DevOps, AI-driven automation, additional Azure certifications
