HCM Senior Business Analyst – Digital Transformation
| Melbourne (Hybrid)
2 Year Fixed-term Position.
We’re currently working with a large education-based enterprise embarking on a significant digital transformation program. This organisation is modernising its core systems and processes to enhance employee experience and streamline HR operations across a wide network of sites.
As part of this initiative, they are seeking multiple HCM Business Analysts
to support the design and delivery of a new Human Capital Management (HCM)
system within the Digital Change and Transformation team.
The Role
Reporting to the Lead HCM Business Analyst,
you’ll play a key role in defining and documenting business processes and system requirements to enable the successful implementation of the HCM solution.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting detailed analysis of as-is and to-be business processes and data flows
- Facilitating workshops to gather and validate business and system requirements
- Producing end-to-end process maps using BPMN standards (Visio or Signavio)
- Translating business requirements into user stories and functional specifications
You’re an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in HCM or HRIS projects, ideally gained within a large or complex organisation. You enjoy working across people, process, and technology, and can confidently manage stakeholder engagement in transformation environments.
Key skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst on HCM or HRIS implementation projects
- Knowledge of HR, Payroll, or Finance processes and compliance requirements
- Exposure to systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or ADP
- Strong process mapping skills using BPMN
- Background in the education or public sector is highly regarded

- Salary $140k to $160k base plus Super (depending on experience)
