Senior DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes & Platform Modernization
A high-growth FinTech company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer
to join their Platform Team. This is a critical role driving the modernization of infrastructure, with a strong focus on building a containerization environment from the ground up using Kubernetes.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the design and implementation of a Kubernetes-based containerization platform from scratch
- Own and execute platform modernization initiatives, migrating legacy systems to scalable, cloud-native architecture
- Work hands-on with tools including IaC (e.g., Terraform), Docker, Kubernetes, automation frameworks, and security tooling
- Collaborate in a fast-paced, agile environment where your input quickly turns into action
- Proven experience building container orchestration environments from scratch using Kubernetes
- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills
- Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes best practices
- Experience with automation, secure code practices, and application security
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms; environment is currently primarily on-prem
- Prior work in mid-to-large scale software or FinTech environments preferred
- Base salary: $150K–$180K base - depending on experience
- Hybrid work: 3 days in CBD office (not flexible on this)
- Training budget for continuous learning and development
- Must be Melbourne-based with PR or Australian Citizenship
