Candidates with Life Insurance experience will be highly regarded. This role requires someone who understands the life insurance value chain and can quickly contribute across underwriting, claims, actuarial, distribution, policy administration, regulatory reporting, and customer analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver trusted business intelligence, reporting and analytics across key business functions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into actionable data solutions.
- Develop executive and Board-level reporting and performance dashboards.
- Drive enterprise data governance, data quality and reporting standards.
- Design and implement AI and machine learning solutions supporting underwriting, claims, fraud detection, customer retention and risk analytics.
- Identify trends and opportunities using advanced analytics and statistical modelling.
- Champion best practice in data management, coding standards, documentation and governance.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to improve enterprise data capability.
Essential Experience
- 5+ years' experience in Data Analytics, Data Science or Business Intelligence.
- Advanced SQL skills together with Python and/or R.
- Strong Power BI or equivalent data visualisation experience.
- Experience with AI, Machine Learning and predictive analytics.
- Excellent understanding of data governance, data quality and reporting frameworks.
- Experience with Azure technologies including Azure AI and Azure DevOps is highly regarded.
- Life Insurance industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working across underwriting, claims, actuarial, policy administration, customer analytics or distribution.
- Knowledge of APRA and ASIC reporting obligations within a regulated financial services environment.
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting, business performance reporting and operational analytics within life insurance.
