We are partnering with a leading education client on two exciting Business Analyst roles within the same team, focused on data, reporting, and student management systems.
About the Role:
You will work across the full data lifecycle, leading process analysis, requirements elicitation, and data profiling. Your work will shape reporting solutions and support decision-making across faculties and administrative units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse current- and future-state processes; produce process artefacts and reporting use cases.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagements; produce user stories, process maps, and data dictionaries.
- Analyse and profile data across systems such as Student Management, Salesforce CRM, and other institutional platforms.
- Define operational and analytical metrics, hierarchies, and row-level security requirements.
- Translate requirements into epics and user stories; collaborate with analysts, SMEs, and delivery squads.
- Maintain documentation in Confluence and Jira, including lineage diagrams, ERDs, and runbooks.
- 5+ years in data-focused Business Analysis; experience transitioning from Data Analyst roles highly regarded.
- Experience with large-scale data transformation programs in complex organisations.
- Strong SQL and data investigation skills; experience profiling, validating, and troubleshooting data.
- Knowledge of data modelling, reporting architectures, and BI environments.
- Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban), backlog management, and writing user stories/acceptance criteria.
- Experience resolving data quality issues (duplicates, conflicting records, historical data).
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Experience or knowledge of the higher education student lifecycle is desirable.
