Senior Applications Developer

This role offers the opportunity to lead initiatives, collaborate across teams, and deliver enterprise-level outcomes in a complex, secure environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-value business outcomes
- Consult on application development projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise technology architecture
- Oversee technology implementation, modification, and standardisation across shared solutions
- Create and deliver production-ready reference implementations for agile teams
- Analyse, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies to support business and IT strategies
- Manage software onboarding requests, ensuring data integrity across downstream systems
- Document enterprise technology design, analysis, and governance activities
- Must have experience with Version Control & Collaboration
- Proficiency with Git (Bitbucket/GitLab), branching strategies, pull requests, conflict resolution, and repository management
- Must have 8+ years experience with Java Development, strong knowledge with Java 17+
- Must have experience with Tomcat Configuration
- Experience deploying Java and web applications (React/Angular) in a Tomcat environment
- Strong experience with SpringBoot Ecosystem
- Min 1–2 years’ experience with Spring Boot and related libraries
- Should have experience with Security & Authentication
- Strong understanding of Spring Security and authentication protocols (LDAP, SAML, OAuth2.0)
- Experience with API Design & Documentation
- Experience designing/documenting RESTful APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI
- Containerisation & DevOps (Could Have)
- Exposure to Docker/Podman for managing and deploying containerised applications
- 12-month contract with possible extension
- Competitive hourly rate ($100per hour - $113 per hour)which works out roughly to a Daily Rate of $850-$900 incl super or +GST
