This is a business with serious technical credentials and a strong footprint in government delivery across Australia.
The Engagement
This role sits at the head of a specialist Salesforce delivery team embedded on-site at a major NSW Government client in Sydney. The program centres on Salesforce Public Sector Solutions and represents one of the more complex government Salesforce engagements currently underway in NSW. As the most senior Salesforce practitioner on the ground, you will lead a team of two developers, own delivery quality and standards, and contribute to solution design and strategic conversations with senior leadership and client stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership role - you will be in the platform regularly while also setting the direction for how the team delivers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading a team of two Salesforce developers - daily technical guidance, code reviews, and mentoring
- Owning delivery quality and development standards across the engagement
- Contributing to solution design and strategic conversations with senior leadership and client stakeholders
- Hands-on delivery within the Salesforce Public Sector Solutions product suite
- Acting as the senior Salesforce technical contact on-site for the government client
- Defining and enforcing DevOps practices, deployment processes, and QA standards
- Overseeing integration design between Salesforce and external platforms
- Contributing to effort estimation and delivery planning for ongoing program work
What You'll Bring
Essential
- 7+ years of Salesforce experience with at least 2 years in a lead or senior delivery capacity
- Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions - non-negotiable
- Proven delivery track record within a government or public sector environment - non-negotiable
- Experience leading or mentoring Salesforce developers in a delivery context
- Deep expertise across Apex, LWC, integration patterns, and Salesforce platform configuration
- Comfortable contributing to solution design and strategy at a senior stakeholder level
- Salesforce Platform Developer II or equivalent certification
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Experience with Government Cloud or Salesforce Shield
- MuleSoft integration architecture exposure
- Salesforce Application or System Architect certification
- Experience in multi-vendor government program environments
