The IT Project Manager role is focused on delivering technology projects, or the technology components of a larger business project, across the technology landscape spanning both enterprise and business technology groups.
This role sits within the Technology department, reporting through to the CTO. The role is responsible for the successful delivery of technology projects in accordance with approved business cases and the realisation of all identified benefits, while adhering to project management disciplines and governance processes.
It is essential that candidates are well versed in both waterfall and agile methodologies, with adequate experience successfully delivering technology project scope and benefits on time and on budget, ensuring key stakeholder expectations are well managed at all times, leading a project team, managing shared resources to deliver project outcomes, and ensuring external vendors and delivery partners deliver to agreed scope and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Engage business stakeholders, validating requirements and success metrics for the project
- Manage the project schedule, monitoring and addressing variations to timelines and scope
- Accountable for cost control and adherence to project budgets
- Identify, log and drive resolution of issues, risks, dependencies and assumptions
- Day-to-day task management and outcomes of nominated project resources
- Manage project compliance with governance requirements and program alignment to technology strategy
- Manage technology changes through the relevant technology change review/approval forums
- Strong problem solving and decision making
- Prioritisation of business requirements
- Stakeholder alignment and solution endorsement
