Engagement: Contract (initially through to Oct-Dec 2026, TBC)
Location: Sydney CBD / hybrid
Start: Urgent (replacement required; current PM exiting)
Role purpose
Lead the Environments stream within a large, multi-stream Guidewire Cloud program (migrating from on-prem). You'll drive environment establishment, readiness, governance, and cross-stream dependency management across the insurer, Guidewire, and the implementation partner.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of the Environments workstream(plan, schedule, RAID, reporting, governance, milestones).
- Coordinate environment provisioning, configuration, access, readiness gates, and delivery cadence across squads and vendors.
- Manage tri-party delivery across internal teams, Guidewire, and the implementation partner/SI(e.g., Tenzing or equivalent).
- Run dependency management across streams (build/release, testing, data, security, integration, cutover).
- Drive operational discipline: status reporting, steering updates, issue resolution pathways, and decision logs.
- Ensure environment work aligns with release management, testing cycles, and program controls.
- Support transition planning as environments move toward BAU ownership(handover approach, runbooks, controls).
- Proven delivery as a Project Manager / Delivery Lead on Guidewire implementations(Cloud strongly preferred; on-prem + migration acceptable).
- Strong hands-on experience working with environment strategy / environment management in complex programs (non-negotiable).
- Demonstrated success in large-scale, fast-paced, multi-stream delivery with heavy external dependencies.
- Strong stakeholder management across technology teams, vendors, and senior governance forums.
- Experience with cloud environment rationalisation, access/identity patterns, release cadence, and testing alignment.
- Insurance platform ecosystem exposure (Guidewire + surrounding tooling, integration, testing and release approaches).
- Prior experience working with systems integrators and vendor-led delivery models.
- Comfortable "in the mess": resilient, thick-skinned, pragmatic, able to challenge constructively.
- Highly organised with strong written comms (clear RAID, crisp exec updates).
- Outcome-focused; drives closure and unblocks teams quickly.
