Bring your GIS and data integration expertise to a greenfield project at initiation stage. As the Project Manager, you’ll lead the initiation and delivery of a new geospatial and data visualisation initiative, shaping scope, structure and stakeholder engagement from day one.
You’ll oversee the integration of multiple data sources into GIS platforms and visualisation tools, ensuring compliance, clarity and impact. Working closely with business and IT teams, you’ll establish delivery foundations that will underpin safer, smarter infrastructure outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the initiation stage of a new GIS and data visualisation project.
- Manage integration of diverse datasets into platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapbox and Mapinfo.
- Oversee technology delivery streams including APIs, cloud platforms and software integration.
- Build trusted relationships across a stakeholder-heavy environment, including infrastructure and safety teams.
- Deliver core project documentation including briefs, PEDs, requirements gathering and scope finalisation.
- Apply project management fundamentals – risk, issue, schedule, financial and governance management.
What we’re looking for:
You’re an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in GIS and data visualisation delivery. You bring strong stakeholder management skills, technical understanding of geospatial platforms, and the ability to deliver in large, complex organisations. Prince2 Foundation certification is required (Practitioner preferred), and Government experience is advantageous.
