This role is suited to a commercially astute and technically capable Project Manager with proven experience managing complex security installations valued up to and exceeding $2M. The successful candidate will oversee projects from initiation through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
The position will involve close collaboration with Tier 1 Builders, consultants, subcontractors and client stakeholders within highly regulated and mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of electronic security projects valued up to $2M+
- Oversee all project phases including design coordination, procurement, delivery, commissioning and practical completion
- Lead project planning, scheduling, resource allocation and financial performance
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Tier 1 Builders, consultants and key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications and industry standards
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control and variations
- Coordinate subcontractors, technicians and internal project teams
- Conduct project meetings, reporting and stakeholder communication
- Drive safety leadership and ensure compliance with OH&S requirements and site-specific protocols
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure all documentation, testing and commissioning activities are completed to client requirements
- Utilise Simpro for project management, scheduling, job tracking, reporting and financial management
- Support business development and contribute to future project opportunities where required
- Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager within the Electronic Security industry
- Proven experience delivering Data Centre and Commercial security projects
- Demonstrated experience working with Tier 1 Builders on major construction projects
- Experience managing projects valued at $2M+
- Strong knowledge of integrated electronic security systems including:
- Access Control
- CCTV
- Intrusion Detection
- Intercom Systems
- Integrated Security Platforms
- Experience using SimPro or similar project management platforms
- Strong commercial and financial management capability
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Understanding of construction methodologies and critical infrastructure environments
- Current Victorian Security Licence
- White Card
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Experience in mission-critical or hyperscale Data Centre environments
- Exposure to ASIAL standards and compliance requirements
- Experience with systems such as:
- Gallagher
- Genetec
- LenelS2
- Milestone
- Project Management qualifications or certifications.
