This isn't a role for someone who stops at diagrams or executes to spec. It's for a principal-level engineer who can walk into a complex client environment, diagnose problems across multiple layers and design and build solutions clients didn't know they needed.
You'll be sitting inside an advanced software engineering consulting practice, rotating across independent technology assurance, hands-on engineering delivery and technical POCs across financial services, gaming and enterprise clients.
What you must bring:
Non-negotiable:
- Deep networking architecture ownership — VPC and VNet design, subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, private endpoints, hybrid connectivity and zero trust
- Observability at design level — distributed tracing, SLOs, SLIs, error budgets and alerting strategy across distributed systems
- Reliability engineering — failure design, resiliency patterns, fault isolation and DR and HA design
- Cloud native platform design — event-driven architecture, microservices, Kubernetes and IaC at scale
- Enterprise cloud platform ownership — landing zones, multi-account strategy and security boundaries across AWS and/or Azure
- Hands-on engineering credibility — you design it and build it
- Ability to operate independently in ambiguous client environments
- Comfort presenting complex findings to senior stakeholders
- AI engineering experience including LLMs or RAG pipelines
- Consulting or professional services background
