12-Month Contract Opportunity
$1300 p/d | Sydney-based
Hybrid working (Must be happy to work three out of four weekends)
I am working with a global organisation, instrumental in laying the foundations of the internet in Australia, now seeking a Senior Network Engineer/Architect with 10+ years' experience in this field to join their team.
This role plays a critical part in delivering secure, high-performance infrastructure that supports research, education, and innovation across APAC.
Visa Status: Must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen (due to clearance requirements)
What the job entails:
- Support end-to-end infrastructure deployments in Asia Pacific data centers including but not limited to network and security platforms
- Build, manage and support our complex international LAN/WAN & security environment
- Drive research, innovation, and implementation of infrastructure capacity and reliability optimisations in our Infrastructure environment
- Collaborate with developers, researchers and our hardware engineers on projects that require a stable and scalable platform to operate on
- Automate, monitor, and benchmark our various networks and systems
- 10+ years of working experience as a senior network engineer or architect with proven on-box experience, designing, implementing and troubleshooting complex LANs and WANs.
- Experience designing, implementing and supporting Campus LAN networks, ideally on Arista and Cisco products
- Experience working in a multi-zone, multi-tier firewall architecture across APAC
- Experience designing, implementing and supporting DC environments.
- Experience administering Unix systems
- Experience in monitoring and managing diverse international WAN networks
- Must have experience with Nokia Server
