About the opportunity

- Work within a dedicated Backend development team building tools used by Medical staff
- A rare chance to apply strong Backend .NET skills to a genuine population health impact, rather than another internal line-of-business system
- Design, develop and maintain full stack features across a national health data platform
- Deliver new functionality, enhancements and bug fixes aligned to product priorities
- Build and maintain APIs and backend services, and contribute to data pipelines and ETL/reporting tooling
- Take part in code reviews, automated testing and ongoing performance optimisation
- Contribute to security, privacy and data protection controls fitting a regulated health/data environment
- 8+ years' software development experience, mostly Backend focused
- Proven ability to work independently and contribute to solution design
- Track record delivering and maintaining production-grade software
- Strong grounding in agile delivery and the full software development lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with C# or VB.NET, ASP.NET/.NET Core and SQL Server based databases
- Any experience with Blazor would be a huge advantage.
- Work closely with the Product Owner, testers, BI specialists and Infrastructure/DevOps teams in an agile environment (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Autonomy to work independently while contributing to a small, focused Backend team
- Self starter, you can just get on with it without waiting for instructions
- $145K-$155K + Non for Profit benefits
- Hybrid working arrangement (1-2 days per week onsite - Wednesday is anchor day.
- Location: Melbourne -near Box Hill (East)
