Our client is seeking a proactive and technically capable professional with 2+ years systems administration experience to join their Brisbane-based team playing a key role in supporting their core server and storage platforms.
About the Role
As Systems Administrator, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day support and management of enterprise-level infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of server and storage systems. You’ll work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and service providers to keep technology running smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide day-to-day technical support to the server and storage environment including physical hardware, VMware virtual infrastructure and Microsoft Server platforms, including resource and capacity management.
- Manage the commissioning/decommissioning of servers in accordance with approved policies and procedures ensuring
- Supporting traditional corporate technologies including desktops, business applications, file storage, printing, network connectivity, and remote access services
- Plan, implement and review software installation activities
- Manage Active Directory environment and MOE
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Proven experience supporting server and storage environments
- Demonstrated expertise with VMware and Microsoft Server systems
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM
- Familiarity with corporate IT services and end-user support
- Experience with ITIL or change requests/change controls will be highly regarded
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
