Guidewire Certified Insurance Business Analyst
Location: Sydney (Hybrid)
Salary:$170,000 package including superannuation
Employment Type: Permanent

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Certified Insurance Business Analyst to support a major Property & Casualty (P&C) transformation program. You will work closely with business leaders, delivery teams, and technology partners to translate complex business requirements into scalable Guidewire solutions across Policy, Billing, and Claims.
This is a senior role suited for someone with deep insurance knowledge and real delivery experience on Guidewire implementations.
Key Responsibilities Requirements & Business Analysis
  • Lead business workshops to gather and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Produce high-quality user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Perform gap analysis between current-state systems and Guidewire solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a trusted bridge between business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams.
  • Ensure business intent is clearly translated into technical outcomes.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Guidewire Delivery
  • Provide deep functional expertise across:
    • PolicyCenter
    • BillingCenter
    • ClaimCenter
  • Support Guidewire configuration, workflows, and data models.
  • Understand Guidewire integrations (APIs, microservices, digital portals).
Testing & UAT
  • Support UAT planning and execution.
  • Validate test scenarios and results with business users.
  • Assist in defect triage and resolution.
Agile Delivery
  • Operate within Agile delivery teams.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain backlog quality in partnership with Product Owners.
Skills & Experience Required
  • 8+ years’ experience in the Property & Casualty insurance sector.
  • Strong hands-on experience on Guidewire implementations.
  • Solid understanding of insurance processes:
    • Policy Administration
    • Claims Management
    • Billing & Financial Processing
  • Guidewire Certification(Associate / Specialist / ACE highly regarded).
  • Strong SQL capability for data interrogation and validation.
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Comfortable operating in enterprise Agile environments.
