Top end Mid-Senior Level FULL STACK ENGINEER (Java/Python/React) - 6-MONTH CONTRACT (most likely extended)

Melbourne Based (2-3 days per week in office)
Mid-Level-Senior Engineer, you will contribute to high-performing applications primarily built with Java & ReactJS. You'll be collaborating in a cross-functional agile team. You will write high-quality code, review pull requests, and participate in continuous delivery using GitHub Actions.
More about the role/day to day:
While Java is essential and will be the primary focus, you'll also work across Python, React, AWS Lambda, Kafka, SQL & Event Driven Architecture.
Experience Required:
- Strong Full Stack experience - Primarily Back End Focused (Java & Python)
- Git for version control; able to resolve merge conflicts and follow branching strategies
- Some Front End (React)
- A strong focus on unit, integration, and end-to-end testing (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
- Advantageous: Kafka, SQL
- AWS Lambda
- CI/CD methodologies (GitHub Actions)
- Hungry for product outcomes, able to operate in the grey
- Creative, lateral, and lean thinker
- Prior experience working in an Agile environment; breadth of knowledge around Agile ceremonies (iteration planning, retros, backlog grooming)
- Contributing to the team’s success by providing reasonable estimates and continuous feedback to teammates about requirements and blockers
- High attention to detail and risk positive
- Passionate & curious about technology
- Collaborative, team player, product-oriented & influential
- Effective formal & informal communicator
- Willing to adapt, mentor & share knowledge within & across functional practices
- Autonomous in learning, leveraging, adapting & extending technology
