We are seeking an experienced Digital Content Writer & Publisher to support a large-scale service transformation initiative focused on improving digital service delivery, enhancing customer access to services, and creating stronger connections between stakeholders through modern digital channels and technology-enabled workflows.
Working within a high-profile program environment, you will play a key role in creating, managing and publishing high-quality digital content that supports service transformation outcomes and improves the customer experience for the Victorian public.
About the Role
As a Digital Content Writer & Publisher, you will work closely with Human-Centred Design (HCD) specialists, project teams and business stakeholders to develop and maintain digital content across multiple platforms. You will ensure content is accurate, accessible, user-focused and aligned with government standards and approval processes.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a significant transformation program while working with a diverse range of stakeholders across policy, operations, legal and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update and publish website content using Drupal CMS
- Manage content across a large and complex website environment
- Develop and maintain text, multimedia and interactive digital content
- Coordinate the production of interactive PDF forms, videos and animations
- Ensure all content complies with accessibility, plain language and governance requirements
- Work with stakeholders to gather, review and approve content for publication
- Support communications, transition and change activities across the Service Transformation Program
- Provide advice on digital content best practice, emerging trends and digital channel optimisation
- Monitor website performance and contribute to reporting activities
- Assist with user feedback and content testing activities where required
You are an experienced digital content professional who combines exceptional writing skills with strong stakeholder engagement and website publishing expertise.
You will bring:
- 7+ years' experience in digital content writing, publishing or content management
- Strong experience using Drupal CMS (District CMS experience highly regarded)
- Experience managing content for large and complex websites
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and plain language principles
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing content approval processes
- Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- Experience supporting digital transformation, service design or change initiatives is highly regarded
- Government sector experience is desirable
- 6 Month Contract (extensions likely) - Full Time
