DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes & Platform Modernization

A high-growth FinTech company is seeking a DevOps Engineer
to join its Platform Team. This role is pivotal in driving platform modernization and containerization initiatives, with a strong focus on building and managing Kubernetes environments.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to the design, build, and ongoing improvement of a Kubernetes-based containerization platform
- Support modernization initiatives, migrating legacy systems to scalable, cloud-native infrastructure
- Work hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Docker, and automation frameworks
- Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Champion best practices for deployment automation, reliability, and security
- Around 4+ years of DevOps experience, including hands-on work with containers and Kubernetes
- Proven experience deploying, managing, and optimizing containerized workloads
- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills – Terraform or similar
- Sound understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud-native tooling
- Familiarity with security, monitoring, and performance tuning within Kubernetes environments
- Background in FinTech or large-scale application environments advantageous
- Salary:$160K base + super (flexible depending on experience)
- Hybrid work: 3 days in the Melbourne CBD office (required)
