DevOps Engineer – Firmware & IoT
$140k–$160k + Super | Permanent | On-Site – South West Sydney
A leading company in workplace tech is looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer
with strong DevOps and firmware
experience to join their R&D team.
This is a full-time, permanent
role based onsite 5 days per week
in South West Sydney.
What you’ll do:
- Build CI/CD pipelines and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, S3, IoT Core)
- Automating the extraction and processing of data from a variety of sources using tools like SQL, Mongo DB, and S3.
- Implementing the right architecture for communication between the cloud and the IoT devices using technologies including MQTT (eg. Mosquitto broker)
- Develop and deploy firmware to IoT hubs/gateways
- Set up secure comms (MQTT) between devices and cloud
- Automate data pipelines using SQL/MongoDB
- Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and remote teams
- 5+ years in DevOps / firmware engineering
- Strong AWS, CI/CD, SQL, and cloud architecture experience
- Electronics/IoT experience and understanding of secure infrastructure
- Positive, collaborative mindset
Must be Sydney-based with full working rights
