An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Data & AI Lead to shape and lead an organisation’s growing Data and Artificial Intelligence capability.
This is a senior, commercially focused leadership role combining data, reporting and insights with the practical implementation of AI and automation initiatives.
You will bridge the gap between business leaders and technical teams, translating commercial challenges into scalable Data and AI solutions. The organisation already has an established AI strategy; your responsibility will be to define the direction, identify opportunities and lead its execution.
This role is ideal for someone who can think strategically while remaining close enough to the technology to understand what is possible and guide hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction and execution of the organisation’s Data and AI capability.
- Bring the Data and AI functions together under one cohesive operating model.
- Manage and mentor a small team of AI Engineers and Data professionals.
- Partner with business leaders across Sales, Marketing, Operations and other functions.
- Translate business challenges into practical Data, AI and automation initiatives.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve revenue, growth, customer acquisition and sales conversion.
- Develop roadmaps, solution concepts and delivery blueprints for engineering teams.
- Lead the delivery of end-to-end AI-enabled business processes.
- Provide commercially informed recommendations on where AI and automation can deliver the greatest value.
- Ensure initiatives are linked to measurable KPIs and business outcomes.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior and non-technical stakeholders.
- Remain close to delivery and contribute to solution design where required.
- Monitor emerging AI technologies, frameworks and market innovations.

Essential Experience
- Demonstrated experience leading Data, Analytics, AI or Automation initiatives.
- Practical experience delivering AI projects from concept through to implementation.
- Experience designing or implementing end-to-end business processes using AI agents.
- Strong understanding of agentic AI, beyond traditional chatbot solutions.
- Knowledge of multi-agent models, sub-agents and modern AI architecture.
- Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraphor similar.
- Exposure to cloud-based AI environments, preferably AWS/azure
- Strong Data, Reporting, Analytics and Insights experience.
- Experience leading and mentoring technical professionals.
- Ability to define direction and create actionable delivery roadmaps.
- Strong stakeholder management and business communication skills.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to connect technology initiatives to measurable outcomes.
- Comfortable operating in a smaller, fast-moving environment with broad responsibilities.
