We're partnering with a well-known Australian organisation to recruit a Data Scientist who is passionate about turning data into commercial outcomes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established data team where you'll work on pricing, forecasting and advanced analytics initiatives that directly influence business decisions. You'll build and improve machine learning models, analyse large datasets and deliver insights that drive measurable impact.
You'll be involved in:
- Developing and improving pricing and forecasting models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Analysing large datasets to identify trends, opportunities and market insights.
- Testing and validating models to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Working closely with business stakeholders to solve commercial problems using data.
- Supporting the deployment and ongoing optimisation of machine learning models.
- Contributing to modern data platforms and analytics capabilities.
- Commercial experience in Data Science or Advanced Analytics.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Experience with Databricks and PySpark.
- Knowledge of statistical modelling and machine learning.
- Experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical findings into business insights.
Experience within pricing, retail or commercial analytics is highly regarded.
