About the Role
As the Data Modeller, you will be responsible for developing high-quality conceptual, logical, and physical data models across key finance domains. Your initial focus will be the Reinsurance domain, with the opportunity to contribute to ALM and SRM initiatives as the program evolves.
Working closely with business SMEs, architects, technical owners, and engineering teams, you will translate complex business requirements into robust data models that support enterprise data platforms and future-state architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for finance data domains.
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, business definitions, and modelling needs.
- Facilitate workshops and validation sessions with business and technical teams.
- Review existing documentation, reference models, data standards, and modelling guidelines.
- Produce ER diagrams and modelling artefacts using ER Studio or equivalent tools.
- Ensure models align with enterprise data standards, naming conventions, and governance frameworks.
- Deliver high-quality artefacts suitable for stakeholder approval and engineering handover.
You are an experienced Data Modeller with a strong background in enterprise data modelling and stakeholder engagement. You enjoy working with both business and technical teams to design scalable, high-quality data solutions.
You'll bring:
- Proven experience developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Strong proficiency with ER Studio or similar enterprise data modelling tools
- Solid understanding of entities, attributes, relationships, keys, constraints, cardinality, and metadata
- Experience translating business requirements into structured data models
- Knowledge of relational databases, ideally Azure SQL or similar platforms
- Experience applying enterprise data standards, naming conventions, and modelling best practices
- Excellent analytical, documentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
