About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler
to join a large-scale data migration and transformation program on a 12-month contract.
This role will focus on consolidating complex legacy data models, mapping them to future-ready designs, and ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and document existing legacy data models across multiple platforms.
- Map legacy structures to target models, ensuring accuracy, semantic consistency, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with architects, ETL developers, and analysts to define source-to-target mappings and document data lineage.
- Validate migrated data against target models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance policies and maintain metadata repositories.
- Partner with business SMEs to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable data models.
- Proven experience in data modeling for large-scale migration or transformation programs.
- Strong skills with Erwin or other leading data modeling tools.
- Expertise in relational, dimensional, and NoSQL modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with Informatica, SAS, or similar data integration platforms.
- Banking/financial services data domain experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
