About the opportunity
A large government agency is investing heavily in uplifting its enterprise data capability and needs a Data Governance and Quality Analyst to help build that foundation from the ground up. This is a hands-on, foundational role inside a Chief Data Office function, sitting within a major data and ERP transformation program. Long-term contract with genuine scope to shape how the organisation manages data going forward.
The role
- Help establish an enterprise-wide data governance framework, including policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
- Define data leadership roles, responsibilities, authorisation models and role-based access controls
- Work with the business on data quality, integrity and privacy standards
- Support data lifecycle management, retention and disposal, and master and reference data
- Help embed data governance tooling into a contemporary data and analytics platform
- 5+ years' experience in a similar data governance role
- Proven experience establishing data governance frameworks in a large, complex organisation
- Hands-on experience with governance tooling such as Purview, Informatica, Collibra, Atlan or Alation
- Experience reporting on data governance outcomes through KPIs, risk registers and maturity frameworks
- Experience implementing data privacy, confidentiality and legislative compliance requirements
