You’ll play a key role in programmatically extracting data from JD Edwards (JDE) and other relational databases, building scalable pipelines, and delivering clean, structured datasets into Azure Data Lakes and/or Google BigQuery (GBQ).
This is a hands-on contract role suited to engineers who thrive in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build robust ETL/ELT pipelines from JDE and related systems
- Extract and integrate data from multiple orbiting enterprise platforms
- Load, transform, and optimise data in Azure Data Lake and/or GBQ
- Ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity
- Support downstream reporting and analytics requirements
- Optimise datasets for Power BI consumption (data modelling & performance tuning)
- Strong experience extracting and engineering data from JD Edwards (JDE)
- Advanced SQL and relational database expertise
- Proven experience building scalable data pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake and/or Google BigQuery
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and modelling best practices
- Power BI knowledge from a Data Engineering perspective
