Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives by translating business requirements into scalable data solutions. This role will work closely with stakeholders across business, technology, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data insights, reporting frameworks, and data platform enhancements.
The ideal candidate is commercially minded, highly analytical, and experienced in working across complex data environments, in data with PowerBI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document data and reporting requirements
- Translate business needs into clear data models, functional specifications, and user stories
- Support the design and implementation of data warehouses, data lakehouses, and analytics platforms
- Define data mapping, transformation rules, and validation criteria
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and BI developers to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Develop and document data definitions, business rules, and data lineage
- Support UAT processes, data validation, and reconciliation activities
- Create dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI (or similar)
- Identify data quality issues and drive remediation initiatives
- Contribute to governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with data standards and policies
- Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst in complex enterprise environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience working with data platforms
- Experience in Data wharehouse
- Experience with BI and visualisation tools (Power BI)
- Experience working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
