I am looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Network Engineer to join a high-performing team, supporting and evolving complex cloud and hybrid network environments. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in designing, optimising, and securing scalable AWS infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
- Administer, support, and optimise AWS environments with a focus on performance, scalability, and security
- Design and implement core AWS networking components including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPNs, and routing
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to re-architect hybrid cloud networks
- Automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance issues (latency, DNS, routing)
- Manage IAM, security groups, and compliance policies
- Contribute to project delivery, change management, and incident response
- Maintain clear technical documentation and playbooks
- 5+ years' experience in AWS cloud infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of AWS networking (VPC, PrivateLink, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, VPN)
- Experience with Linux systems and automation tooling
- Exposure to IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of DevOps / CI-CD pipelines
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic)
- Relevant AWS certifications
