Location – Canberra (on-site twice a week)
Salary – up to 200-220k + super + perks
Clearance – baseline needed (NV1 highly regarded)
What we are looking for
We’re seeking a Senior AWS Engineering Lead to join a technology consulting firm in the Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering space.
This role is also suitable for an AWS Cloud Architect, provided you have good presales experience.
Candidates from NSW will be considered, but you must be able to travel to Canberra once a week for the first month and have baseline clearance (even if expired).

Key responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, including code and specification reviews.
- Act as the primary contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Analyse requirements and design distributed applications on AWS.
- Implement cloud-native and modern integration solutions, including robust testing.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, optimise performance, and ensure security and compliance.
Technical requirements
- Significant experience leading and delivering complex AWS cloud transformation projects.
- Expertise in (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Strong experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (AWS CodeCommit/Build/Pipeline, GitLab, etc.).
- Deep understanding of AWS networking, security best practices, and compliance frameworks (ASD ISM).
- Experience with AWS Landing Zones, serverless architectures (Lambda), and containerisation (Kubernetes/EKS/OpenShift).
