About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AI Implementation Consultant for an initial 3-month contract based in Sydney, with a strong likelihood of extension.
You will support a regulated financial services organisation in establishing a secure, compliant, and scalable AI environment. This is a hands-on role where you will work directly with analysts, bankers, and technical teams to configure and embed AI tools into real-world workflows.
This role suits someone who can confidently operate across technical configuration, regulatory requirements, and end-user enablement within a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and document logging, evaluation, and data residency requirements aligned with APRA, ASIC, and APP obligations
- Evaluate cloud infrastructure options (Azure, AWS, GCP) and recommend suitable AI deployment architectures for a regulated financial environment
- Configure OpenAI and/or Claude (Anthropic) environments, ensuring compliance with audit logging, access controls, and data residency requirements
- Deliver hands-on, forward-deployed consulting sessions with analysts and bankers to tailor AI tools to specific use cases
- Embed AI tools into existing business workflows to improve productivity and decision-making
- Document configurations, governance frameworks, and usage guidelines to support ongoing compliance and adoption
- Provide guidance on AI governance and risk management frameworks within a regulated environment
- Proven experience deploying OpenAI and/or Claude (Anthropic) in a regulated industry (financial services, healthcare, or similar)
- Strong understanding of data residency, audit logging, access controls, and AI evaluation frameworks
- Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms across Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with business users to implement and embed AI solutions into workflows
- Familiarity with Australian regulatory frameworks ( APRA, ASIC, APP) highly desirable
- Experience in investment banking, M&A, or financial advisory environments
- Background in AI governance, risk frameworks, or policy development
- Experience working within Microsoft 365 enterprise environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and change management capability
