Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer to join a large-scale banking program delivering enterprise data platforms and integration services. This role will work across complex batch and continuous flow systems, building and optimising data pipelines that support business-critical reporting, analytics, and operational processing.
You will collaborate with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to design scalable ETL solutions, improve performance across existing workloads, and support modernisation initiatives across cloud and real-time data platforms. The role requires strong problem-solving capability, an eye for performance optimisation, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build Ab Initio graphs (batch + continuous flows).
- Optimise performance of Ab Initio plans and components.
- Manage code promotion and source control practices.
- Work with SQL across RDBMS platforms and shell scripting.
- Collaborate in agile delivery teams.
- Troubleshoot and improve data processing performance.
Must-have
- 4-5+ years Ab Initio (batch/continuous flows).
- Strong performance optimisation experience.
- Source control and code promotion in Ab Initio.
- SQL + basic shell scripting.
- Solid DB and compute fundamentals.
- Realtime / API integration exposure.
- Cloud-hosted Ab Initio.
