Community Involvement
PRAs involvement in the community and care for the environment is an important example of what sets us apart. PRA regularly contributes to goods drives across the country for items such as clothing, blankets and groceries. PRA also gives generously to fund raising events such as Jeans for Genes Day, Pink Ribbon, Movember, Daffodil Day and many more. We see giving back to the community as a fundamental part of being a member of it. PRA is dedicated to making a positive contribution to society through our focus on the environment, our people, responsible business practices, community investment and strengthening the next generation of citizens. A number of our colleagues actively participate in sporting activities, some representing Australia at state or above levels.
Volunteering and Giving
PRA employees regularly volunteer their time to support a range of community programs. We support our colleagues in their efforts by providing annual leave specifically dedicated to working in and for the community.
World Vision
| Several employees of PRA got together and decided to sponsor a child through World Vision. Our sponsor child’s name is Latifa Lutfa Yeasmin. She lives in Bangladesh. She is five years old and doesn’t go to school yet. Latifa lives at home with both of her parents, who are unemployed, and her four sisters. Recently her area was badly affected by natural disasters. Our sponsorship is helping her area with healthcare, particularly vaccinations for children, education and training in farming skills. | Jane McGrath Foundation |
PRA believes that generously giving to Jane McGrath foundation is more important that corporate Christmas gift. If you too would like to make a contribution to the charity go to http://www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au/
Bowel Cancer Australia
In March 2010, PRA hosted an evening with Ronnie Muhl, who was the first person to lead the South African expedition to summit Everest in 2007. Later, Ronnie lead the Everest 2010 expedition including one of our very own employees, Darren Robertson. All ticket sales from the event went to Bowel Cancer Australia.
Heart Foundation
Through the annual City to Surf in NSW our colleagues participate each year and support the heart foundation. Our people gives generously and over the past two years raised thousands of dollars for this worthwhile charity. For more information go to http://www.heartfoundation.org.au
